MatchPay sportsbook FAQ

Quick answers for bettors. Each one links to the guide where the operators' own pages are quoted and cited.

Which sportsbooks accept MatchPay?

On their own banking pages, two do: Bovada, for US players outside its 19 restricted states and DC, and Ozoon, for Canadian players outside Quebec, Nova Scotia, Manitoba and New Brunswick. We checked both on 4 October 2026.

Does BetOnline accept MatchPay?

We could not confirm it. Some review sites say BetOnline has added MatchPay, but BetOnline's banking page showed our location a Cloudflare security check instead of the page, so we have not listed it. Look for MatchPay in BetOnline's own deposit and withdrawal tables before you sign up.

Can I bet on sports at Ignition, Slots.lv or Cafe Casino with MatchPay?

No. All three list MatchPay in their help centres, but none of them has a sportsbook. Ignition offers poker, casino games and live dealers; Slots.lv and Cafe Casino are casino-only.

Does a MatchPay deposit get the sportsbook welcome bonus?

No. Bovada and Ozoon both say bonuses are not available for MatchPay deposits unless the bonus description says otherwise, and that includes their welcome bonuses. Both welcome offers are tied to your first deposit, so if you want one, make that deposit another way and confirm with the sportsbook first.

How long does a MatchPay withdrawal from a sportsbook take?

Once a buyer is matched, the trade runs on timers of 5, 8 and 5 minutes, so about 18 minutes, plus up to 20 more if confirmation lags. Finding a buyer can take longer, Zelle trades started at a weekend wait for the next business day, and a match is never guaranteed.

How much can I cash out by MatchPay in a day?

At Bovada, up to $2,000 per withdrawal and two withdrawals a day: $4,000. At Ozoon, up to $3,000 per withdrawal and two per 24 hours: $6,000. A third request inside 24 hours stays pending until 24 hours after the first.

Does MatchPay charge fees at sportsbooks?

Bovada says every MatchPay transaction is free. Ozoon's fee pages do not mention MatchPay. Your payment app can still charge its own fees, which the sportsbook does not collect.

Limits, fees and timing →

Can I use MatchPay in Canada?

Ozoon lists MatchPay for Canadian accounts. But five of the six apps MatchPay names (Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, Chime and Apple Cash) require US residency or a US bank account under their own terms, which leaves PayPal for most Canadians.

The app problem at Ozoon →

Can I use MatchPay at a sportsbook in New York, New Jersey or Michigan?

Not at Bovada: New York, New Jersey and Michigan are on its restricted list along with 16 other states and DC, and its terms say a balance accessed from a restricted state may be voided. Ozoon does not accept US residents at all.

Is it legal to bet with MatchPay at an offshore sportsbook?

That depends on where you live and where you are when you bet. Bovada and Ozoon publish offshore licences, not US state or Canadian provincial ones, and Michigan's regulator has called Bovada illegal. Check your state's laws; this is not legal advice.

Legality and safety →

What if I paid but the seller never confirms?

Wait the extra 20 minutes MatchPay asks for, then click Report a Problem in the trade. MatchPay decides in about 48 hours and its decision is final. Don't dispute with your payment app first: MatchPay says that delays its review.

Troubleshooting a stuck trade →

Can I withdraw a MatchPay deposit without betting it?

No. Both sportsbooks require every deposit to be wagered in full before you withdraw. Otherwise the withdrawal can be cancelled and the money put back in your balance.

What changes for bettors →

Can I send MatchPay credit straight to my bank account?

No. MatchPay credit only leaves through a trade with another MatchPay user, paid through one of the listed apps.

How MatchPay works →

Why does MatchPay tell me to use PayPal Friends & Family?

MatchPay says Goods & Services payments get held by PayPal, so it asks for Friends & Family or Gift. Those are personal payments, which means giving up the protection a purchase would have.
